- Increased social media integration. You now can “like” one of our stories on Facebook directly from the site. Same thing with Twitter, Digg, and StumbleUpon. You also can see which stories are getting the most feedback, by looking at the counters in the upper right side of each post.
- Improved integration with iTunes. Our podcasts now appear directly in iTunes. Just go to the Podcasts section of iStore and search for “IUSportCom”.
- Wider YouTube embed fields. You’ll now see YouTube-embedded video in a much wider format than on the previous site.
- Better archiving and categorization. One of the big requests we had was for easier access to previous articles. You can now search by any sport’s category, either through the “category” section of each post, or through the drop-down menu on the sidebar.
- For those of you looking for the old site, it’s still there! Here is the URL to the site, where all of our previous stories still exist.
Postgame recap: IU vs Purdue
February 5th, 2012Galen Clavio and Matt Zimmerman provide a video recap of the IU-Purdue game, which Indiana won 78-61. NOTE: My apologies for mis-stating Verdell Jones III’s injury – he has a shoulder situation, NOT a concussion. Honest mistake, as I have no idea where my brain was during this part of the taping.

11th Anniversary of the Knight Firing – Retrospective
September 10th, 2011Last year we had several stories about the 10th anniversary of the Knight Firing. We thought that we’d bring back a couple of the podcasts that we posted last year. Both of these were recorded live off the WIUS broadcast of the events of September 10, 2000. The first clip saw Matt Ridings reporting from Fee Lane as the Showalter Fountain dolphins took an unexpected ride, while the second clip saw Galen Clavio reporting from a contentious Kirkwood Avenue. Enjoy.

IUSMA visits Mike Francesa
January 12th, 2011
The IU Sport Marketing Alliance, the official student group of Indiana University’s Sport Marketing/Management program, had an exciting week-long networking trip to Boston and New York over winter break. Among the many remarkable experiences, perhaps the most surreal and entertaining was when WFAN’s Mike Francesa invited IUSportCom regular Josh Sherman to appear on a segment of his show.
Here’s the audio clip of the appearance. Enjoy!

Hi there. We promise to not have any pictures of cats.
Anyway, this is Galen Clavio, EIC and publisher of IUSportCom. As you’ve probably noticed, we’ve got a new look going here on the site. You should find things a lot easier to navigate now, and the process of locating your favorite authors, topics, and stories should be much smoother.
