What an enormous collapse by the United States team to lose the Ryder Cup to Europe. I couldn’t believe the choke jobs that Jim Furyk, Steve Stricker, and Phil Mickelson (to a lesser extent) pulled off. Furthermore, I couldn’t believe I watched more golf than I have in the past 5 years this weekend only to see that unfathomable collapse.
So who shares the most blame for the U.S. here? I gotta go with the captain, Davis Love III. After all, three of his four captains picks (Stricker, Furyk, and Brandt Snedeker) ended up a combined 1-8 over the weekend. Yikes.
