Tuesday evening, the Indiana University athletics department announced that seven-foot junior-college transfer Guy-Marc Michel was ineligible for the 2010-11 season. Since Michel enrolled in college-level classes while in France in 2006, this season is considered his fifth year of eligibility. Thus, making him ineligible for next season.
Michel will still be under scholarship for the remainder of the 2010-11 academic year, but not 2011-12.
When dealing with the vacated scholarship, Tom Crean has a few options:
