On this week’s IU Football SoundCheck, IUSportCom Audio Editor Will Chukerman interviews senior DT Larry Black, Jr., as well as sophomore S Mark Murphy.
Coming into the season as one of only eight seniors on the roster, Larry Black Jr. knows he has a lot of responsibilities, and leading the team is one of them. The defensive tackle hopes to build on the disappointing 2011 season, and is eager to face Indiana State in week 1.
Last season, Mark Murphy led the team in tackles as a freshman, yet feels even more confident heading into this season with a year under his belt. Murphy knows what’s expected from him and the rest of the sophomore class as they look to continue the momentum they started their freshman year. The safety is going into this season with a clean slate, not looking to dwell on the results of last year.
