IUSportCom is excited to announce its first live spreecasting event during an Indiana Athletics road contest. Not sure what this means? Continue reading.
What is Spreecast?
Spreecast is a new feature to the world wide web, and gives up to four people at a time to video chat in a public forum. While the people are chatting on camera, there is a chat feature for people to comment on what everybody has to say, as well as offer their own comments.
How do we plan to use it?
We will start our spreecast at 7 PM, to allow for about fifteen minutes of pre-game talk. We hope to get as many people on camera as possible that want to talk about the Hoosiers’ basketball team.
Once the game starts, we will be chatting live on camera about the happenings in the game. Once again, we hope to get everybody that wants a chance on camera to get on to voice their frustrations and praises.
Too shy to be on camera? No worries, there’s a chat feature as well to voice your thoughts on the game as it is happening.
Is there a sample to see what this may be like?
Yes. Our friends at Crimsoncast host a post-game spreecast after every contest for the Hoosiers. Check out a sample link here.
This spreecast idea is the first of its kind, and we hope to get as many Hoosier fans’ input on the game as possible. The link for the spreecast is http://www.spreecast.com/events/iubblive.
