Although it was a disappointing loss to Ohio State on senior night, no one five years ago would have said that Indiana would be playing for the outright Big Ten regular season championship, a feat the team has not accomplished since 1993. No one would have imagine that Indiana would enter the season ranked #1 and would be the favorites to win the national championship. The rise of Indiana basketball is majorly credited to IU’s three graduating seniors: Jordan Hulls, Derek Elston, and Christian Watford. All three seniors came into a program not knowing what they were getting into. They came into a program that was in a shamble, searching for an identity and an opportunity to rise from the ashes. The three seniors will always be known as key members in resurrecting Indiana basketball. They will always be known as essential parts of the resurrection team. Michael Felish reports on the three seniors who made contributions and sacrifices to IU basketball that will never be forgotten.
